Thermoplastic Polyurethane Belt Splicing Kit
Key Characteristics:
1. Three-Piece Kit – A welding clamp, an electric heating iron, and belt-cutting scissors — everything needed to splice a polyurethane belt on site
2. Heat-Fusion Joining – Melts and fuses belt ends into one seamless joint, no vulcanizing press or adhesive required
3. Works Across Belt Types – Splices round, V, and Super Grip (patterned) polyurethane belts with the same tools
4. Precise Alignment – The welding clamp holds both belt ends under pressure while the fused joint sets
5. Clean, Square Cuts – The cutting scissors trim belt stock before welding, for a stronger, truer joint
6. Portable Tooling – Compact enough for on-site or in-field repairs, not just factory production
7. One Kit, Whole Range – Covers splicing needs across Pepson’s polyurethane belt lineup
Product Description
Belt Splicing Kit Details
A belt splicing kit is a set of tools — a welding clamp, an electric heating iron, and cutting scissors — used to join the two ends of a polyurethane belt into a continuous loop. Instead of gluing or vulcanizing, the belt ends are heated until they fuse, then clamped in alignment until the joint sets, producing a strong, seamless connection.
Splicing starts with the scissors, which trim each belt end to a clean, square cut. The heating iron then melts the two ends just enough for the polyurethane to fuse at a molecular level — the same material joining to itself, not an adhesive bridging two surfaces. The welding clamp holds both ends in precise alignment under pressure while the joint cools, so the finished splice runs true through the pulley instead of wobbling or catching.
One kit handles splicing across Pepson’s polyurethane belt range: round belts, V-belts, and Super Grip (patterned) belts all join the same way, so a single set of tools covers a mixed-belt production line or workshop. It’s just as useful for building a new belt to length as it is for repairing a worn one in the field, without sending it out for vulcanizing.
