Polyurethane Bushing, Pad & Anti-Collision Block Details
Polyurethane bushings, pads, and anti-collision blocks are cast PU parts that absorb shock, dampen vibration, and stop metal-on-metal contact in machinery. Pepson casts them to your drawing, from soft, rubber-like grades up to hard, wear-resistant ones, in the shapes and colors your equipment needs.
Because the parts are cast, the shape is whatever the mold makes it. Pepson’s cast grades run from Shore A 10 up to Shore D 85. A soft grade squashes and rebounds to cushion a load. A hard grade holds its shape as a bump stop or locating block. Cast polyurethane also resists tearing and abrasion and tolerates moisture and sea water. It bonds to metal too, so a part can carry a steel insert or plate when you need a fixed mounting face.
Here’s where these parts show up. Anti-collision and limit blocks stop a moving part at the end of its travel. Cushion pads and dampers sit under machinery and pumps to take up vibration.
