Cast Polyurethane Rod

Green polyurethane rods fanned out to show round end faces

Key Characteristics:
1. Solid and Hollow Rod – Solid rod for machining from full stock, hollow rod (PU pipe) with a bore through the center

2. Wide Diameter Range – Solid rod from 8 to 350 mm; hollow rod from 20 to 350 mm

3. Standard Lengths – 300, 500, and 1,000 mm, or made to your length

4. Wear and Tear Resistant – Holds up against abrasion and tearing while staying elastic

5. Oil Resistant – Resists oil and grease, so it keeps its properties around lubricated equipment

6. Machinable Stock – Machined into seals, buffer components, and other custom parts

7. Hardness: Shore 25A–98A – Natural-color rod is typically 80A–85A; other hardnesses and colors are made to order

Product Description

Cast Polyurethane Rod Details

Polyurethane rod is round PU stock, solid or hollow, supplied in standard lengths for machining into parts. Pepson makes solid rod from 8 to 350 mm in diameter and hollow rod from 20 to 350 mm. Lengths are 300, 500, and 1,000 mm. Pick a hardness and color, or ask for another size.

Polyurethane rod stays elastic and still resists wear, tearing, and oil. Hardness runs from Shore 25A to 98A, and natural-color rod is typically 80A to 85A. Solid rod gives you a full cross-section to machine from. Hollow rod, sometimes called PU pipe, has a bore through the center.

Machinists turn rod into seals, buffer components, and other custom parts. Rod also serves in molding equipment, sandblasting rooms, and steel and ceramics plants, wherever a part has to flex and resist wear. Send us the diameter, length, and hardness you need, and we will make it to your specification.
